This piece is crafted in lead free pewter, hand finished by craftsmen and mounted on a card for display. It is over 3" in Diameter and weighs over a Quarter Pound!
Below the marble Crusader columns of the Church of the Nativity, two steep flights of stairs lead to the Altar of the Nativity. The floor beneath the altar is encased in white marble. Here, encased in the marble, is a fourteen point silver star, the Star of Bethlehem, marks the spot of the birth of Jesus.
The Latin inscription: HICDE VIRGINE MARIA JESUS CRISTUS NATUS EST. 1717. Translated: Here Jesus Christ was born to the Virgin Mary
